Characteristics

  • Feeds mainly on fishes and crabs.

Description

  • Body light brown.
  • A horizontal white band runs from behind eyes to caudal peduncle, and a yellowish band just below. The white band continues through to caudal fin edge, and is dissected by several vertical and narrow brown bars, which end at the yellow stripe.
  • Below the yellow band, a black spot appears where each vertical bar ends.
  • A yellowish-gold spot at pectoral fin base.
  • A black spot at the start of dorsal fin.
