Yellow prawn-goby


  • Usually occurs singly and shares burrows with commensal shrimps.
  • Carnivorous.


  • Body yellow or dark brown.
  • Numerous blue dots on head and dorsal fins.Similar in appearance to the yellow phase of the Ventral-barred shrimpgoby, which has an “equal sign (=)”-shaped marking on the cheeks that is absent in the present species.
  • May have faint dark vertical bars on body.
