Whitespotted devil


  • An adult was recorded once by the survey at Sharp Island, but speculated to have been artificially introduced.
  • Tends algae farms and mainly feeds on algae, but also feeds on plankton.



  • Head and body brown with blue dots mainly on back.
  • Caudal peduncle and caudal fin white to tan.


  • Body greenish yellow with numerous blue dots.
  • A black spot on back.
