Western gregory

Characteristics

A shy species and usually swims away from divers.
Feeds on algae. In Japan, this species has been reported to maintain a 6 m2 multi-species algal farm for feeding.

Description

Adults:
- Body brown to black.
- May have a visible black spot on anterior part of dorsal fin.
Juveniles:
- Body yellow.
- A black spot with blue margin on anterior part of dorsal fin.
