Twostripe goby


  • Usually occurs in pairs in which ,the two individuals will stay close together, almost touching each other.
  • Sifts sand for edible materials.
  • When in pairs, two individuals usually feed alternatively.
  • Maintains several mounds in which each mound contains a burrow.
  • Individuals will hide in burrows when startled.


  • Body pale grey with a pair of horizontal dark to reddish brown stripes, running from front of snout to end of caudal fin.
  • A dark blotch on rear part of first dorsal fin.
