Threespot dascyllus

Characteristics

Feeds on plankton.
Associated with several species of host anemone, such as the bubble tip anemone (Entacmaea quadricolor), which is common in Hong Kong eastern waters.

Description

Body charcoal. Each scale has a black margin.
In juveniles, there are three white spots: two on each side of the body, and one on the forehead.
The white spot on the forehead fades with maturity and is no longer present in adults.
