Stellar rockhopper

Characteristics

Often recorded singly and in small groups.
In Hong Kong, the breeding season of this species is between April and September.
In exposed areas with strong currents, males were found to guard eggs in empty barnacle shells.
Feeds on algae and small invertebrates.

Description

Body olive to slightly grey.
Six to seven vertical dark bars on each side of the body.
White spots around the snout and lips.
