Characteristics

Description

• Dorsally yellowish, ventrally white.
• Numerous white blotches and brown dots on back.
• Mid body with 5 black blotches lined horizontally.
• Caudal fin base with a dark marking which looks like a “<”, and the narrower part of the marking points towards the head.
• Mature males possess an extended filament on the second spine of the first dorsal fin.
