Pacific double-saddle butterflyfish

Characteristics

  • Recorded singly, in pairs or in small groups.
  • Mainly feeds on corals, and occasionally feeds on small invertebrates and tiny preys in coral rubble and sand.

Description

  • Body mainly whitish, but posterior yellowish.
  • Two thick vertical dark bands and numerous thin vertical dark lines on body.
  • Another vertical dark bar crosses through eye and a dark blotch on caudal peduncle.
