Characteristics

  • Often recorded singly, but usually recorded in pairs during breeding season.
  • Mainly feeds on hard corals, and occasionally feeds on small invertebrates and tiny preys in coral rubble and sand.

Description

  • Body orange-yellow.
  • Oblique mauve stripes on body.
  • A black vertical bar crosses through eyes.
  • Tail base grey.
