Characteristics

  • Elsewhere, occurs singly or in groups.
  • An adult was recorded once at Sharp Island during the survey, suspected to have been artificially introduced.

Description

  • Body yellowish brown to bluish grey.
  • A white patch extending from eye and along sides of snout.
  • Dorsal fin black, but orange posteriorly. Anal fin black throughout.
  • Caudal fin whitish to bluish grey. A vertical, yellow stripe sometimes visible mid-fin.
