Usually occurs singly.
Mainly feeds on small fishes and crustaceans.
Suggested to be able to change sex from female to male (protogynous hermaphroditism).
Description
Body red to brown, gradually becoming darker towards the tail.
May have several vertical pale bars on body.
Caudal fin with two diagonal white lines, on upper and lower lobes respectively.
