Carpet sole


Usually occurs singly in sandy areas.


  • Body, head and fins covered with brown dots, brown spots and brown blotches in circular and irregular shapes. Large blotches may have pale centers.
  • Interspaces of the spots, dots and blotches are pale brown or yellowish.
  • Pectoral fin absent.
  • Pelvic fin is separated from and in front of anal fin.
  • Caudal fin is separated from dorsal and anal fins.
