Body light grey-blue.
Red margin on first dorsal fin. This feature distinguishes the species from the similar looking Blue hana goby, which does not possess a red margin on first dorsal fin.
Iridescent blue lines on head.
A short, diagonal black stripe at the base of pectoral fin.
